It gives me immense pleasure to announce “The Breast Cancer Awareness Program” undertaken by the Women's Empowerment Group. The detail of the campaign that have been set out by the organizers for creating awareness about Breast Cancer amongst masses are indeed praiseworthy. Carcinoma of the Breast is the commonest cancer of females in Pakistan . The spread of Breast Cancer among Pakistani Women is alarming and there is dire need to apprise the women regarding detection and diagnosis of this menace at the earliest. It is possible only with greater awareness of the early signs and symptoms of this fatal disease. This awareness can be created by holding training programs, workshops and other such methods, which are easily understood and acted upon. They should not be restricted only to the urban areas alone, but should be widely spread among rural women, especially the poor and the needy.

I am very pleased to see that the gigantic task of women rehabilitation through various programs and projects has been taken up by young and enthusiastic philanthropists. While appreciating the noble endeavor of setting up this Clinic, I pray that my Allah give courage and zeal to the undertakers of this humanitarian campaign, to save and improve the lives of the women folk of our country.
